GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone. GriefShare seminars and support groups are led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help. You’ll gain access to valuable GriefShare resources to help you recover from your loss and look forward to rebuilding your life. Sessions will include videos featuring grief recovery experts, small group discussions and personal study exercises that reinforce weekly topics. For more information, please visit
The next class will begin September 10, 2018, from 7 - 9 p.m. and will end December 3, 2018. There is a $15 fee to cover the class materials.
Men's Discipleship Class (MDC)
The Men’s Discipleship Class is an introduction on God’s call to men to become devoted followers of Jesus Christ. It takes place every other Sunday morning from 8:00 - 9:30am starting September 16, and including the following dates: Sep. 16, Sep. 30, Oct. 14, Oct. 28 & Nov. 11
The class will focus on five main topics: Identity, Dependence on God, Servant Leadership, Church Commitment, and Mission. Each topic will be addressed biblically through the lens of answering two primary questions: “Who am I?” and “What is my purpose?”. These topics will be introduced through a combination of class instruction and discussion. Reasonable homework will be included each week and can involve Scripture memory, reading assignments and discussion questions. There is no cost for the class
To maximize effectiveness, class size is limited, and a commitment throughout the seven weeks is strongly encouraged. All materials will be provided electronically unless otherwise request.

Join SGC is a six-week course designed to help potential members learn about our church's beliefs and how this informs our practices. The course is required for those seeking membership, but is open to anyone that is curious about our life together as a local church. Most people interested in membership find the course helpful in answering their questions and enabling them to prayerfully decide whether our church is the place for them to join. The course is offered on Sunday mornings from 8:30 - 9:45am. Childcare is available.
The next Join SGC class will begin October 7, 2018 and run until November 11.
What is Alpha?
Alpha gives everyone the opportunity to explore the meaning of life in a relaxed, friendly setting. The Alpha course meets once a week for 8 weeks. Sessions begin with a catered meal, followed by a short talk, dessert and time to discuss what's been taught. During the discussion, everyone is welcome to contribute their opinions and no question is considered hostile or too simple. Questions might include—Is there a God? Why am I here? Where did I come from? Where am I going?
Who is Alpha for?
Alpha is for anyone. People attend from all backgrounds, religions, and viewpoints and come to investigate questions about the existence of God, the purpose of life, the afterlife, the claims of Jesus and more. Some people want to get beyond religion and find a relationship with God that really changes life. Others come for the close, long-lasting friendships that are built during the Alpha course. Many guests have never been to church, others may have attended church occasionally but feel they have never really understood the basics of the Christian faith. Everyone is welcome and childcare is provided for children up to 12 years old.
Our next Alpha course begins October 9, 2018 at 6:30 pm in the lobby of our church building. It will run until November 27, meeting every Tuesday. There is no cost for the class. Childcare is available.
